1:1 Somatic Yoga Therapy
Reconnect Body, Mind, and Spirit
Somatic Yoga therapy is more than a yoga class. It’s a therapeutic process that blends the wisdom of yoga—movement, breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness—with the principles of psychology and healing.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, which focuses mainly on the mind and emotions, somatic yoga therapy also engages the body as an active participant in your healing journey.
What is Somatic Yoga Therapy?
By gently reconnecting with your body, you can release stored tension, calm your nervous system, and discover new ways to move through life’s challenges with clarity and strength.
Somatic Yoga therapy is a collaborative, personalized process designed to help you heal from the inside out.
It combines:
Breathwork to regulate the nervous system and shift emotional states
Mindful movement to release tension and reconnect with your body
Meditation and visualization to build awareness and cultivate peace
Somatic practices to process and release trauma or stress stored in the body
Unlike group yoga classes, yoga therapy is one-on-one and tailored specifically to your needs. And unlike traditional talk therapy alone, it provides both embodied tools for immediate relief and deeper practices to support lasting transformation.
A Somatic Yoga Therapy Session Looks Like…
When we work together, I am fully present with you, meeting you exactly where you are at in your journey. Whether you are seeking support for chronic physical pain, emotional struggles, past trauma, or current life challenges, you do not have to face it alone.
Yoga therapy is a holistic approach that applies the ancient wisdom of yoga to healing across the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. I work through the lens of the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model, honoring the interconnectedness of your body, mind, and spirit.
Each session is personalized to your unique needs. We may integrate:
Gentle postures to release tension and restore flow
Breathwork practices to regulate your nervous system and emotions
Meditation or guided visualization to cultivate inner calm and clarity
Somatic awareness practices to process and release what has been stored in the body
Unlike a traditional yoga class, yoga therapy isn’t about perfecting a pose—it’s about creating space for healing. And unlike talk therapy alone, it offers embodied tools that you can carry with you, empowering you to respond to life with greater strength, balance, and resilience.
